T.I. was born Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. on September 25, 1980, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Violeta Morgan and Clifford "Buddy" Harris, Sr. He is also known as T.I.P. and "Rubberband Man". T.I. is from the streets of Westside Bankhead Zone 1 in Atlanta. His original stage name, T.I.P., it stems from his childhood nickname "Tip", given by his grandfather. He later changed it to T.I. out of respect for label mate Q-Tip. He was dubbed "the Jay-Z of the South" by Pharrell Williams, T.I. gradually established himself as one of rap's greatest and most successful MCs during the early 2000s. T.I. has been active with helping the community especially with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, T.I. worked with troubled youths at Paulding Detention Center in Atlanta, provided scholarships for single parent families at Boys and Girls Clubs. He has had successful movies roles such as: ATL (2006) and most notably American Gangster(2007) along side Denzel Washington.

Natural-born entertainer TJ Atoms is quickly making a name for himself in the entertainment industry as one to watch. In 2019, Atoms stars in Hulu's new drama-biopic series, "Wu-Tang: An American Saga," opposite Shameik Moore and Ashton Sanders. The show follows the formation of the iconic hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan, from their rise in New York City in the early 1990s. The series was executive produced by Wu-Tang Clan members, RZA and Method Man, with band mates, The GZA, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa and Ghostface Killah serving as consulting producers. Atoms shines as founding group member, Russell "Ason Unique" Jones, also widely known for his stage name, Ol' Dirty Bastard (O.D.B.), who has been hailed for his distinctive half-rapped and half-sung style. "Wu-Tang: An American Saga" premiered on September 4, 2019. Additional television credits for Atoms include STARZ!'s "Power," EPIX's "Godfather of Harlem," Netflix's "Orange is the New Black," Lifetime's/Netflix's "You" and CBS' "Blue Bloods." On the film front, Atoms was cast in Lena Waithe's comedy "The 40-Year-Old Version," which follows a down-on-her-luck playwright, Radha (Radha Blank), in New York, who thinks the only way she can salvage her voice as an artist is to become a rapper at age 40. Atoms plays Kamal, one of Radha's students in her after-school theater class, who is confused about her new aspirations yet also supportive. The film is being almost entirely shot on 35mm black and white film by cinematographer Eric Branco ("Clemency"). On the music side, Atoms is a skilled rapper and released his most recent single, "Stay Down" on September 4, 2019 across international music streaming platforms. He is set to release his EP later this year. Past tracks include his single, "Recognize" that premiered in 2013. Some of his influences include Tupac, Jimi Hendrix and Nipsey Hussle. Born and raised in North Philadelphia, Atoms was first discovered at the iconic LOVE Park where he was cast on the spot in the heavy metal band, August Burns Red's, "Fault Line" music video. From there, he went onto writing and recording music and actively auditioning for TV and film projects. With almost no formal acting training, Atoms has proved himself as a natural in the industry, booking back-to-back guest-starring roles on television.
