His director's showcase short film "Inside" starring Jeremy Sisto, won awards at numerous film festivals. In 2016 Sands directed, edited, and wrote the Virtual Reality experience "Timeless: Continuum Recon" as a companion piece to the NBC/Sony Pictures Television Timeless TV series.
