Travis Stevens
A prolific producer of films such as Jodorowsky's Dune, Cheap Thrills and Buster's Mal Heart, Travis Stevens' wide range of award-winning genre films have played the Toronto International Film Festival, Cannes Directors' Fortnight, Sundance, SXSW, Telluride, Tribeca, Fantastic Fest, AFI, Sitges and BiFan.
In 2019, his writing and directing debut Girl On The Third Floor premiered at SXSW, won both a Fangoria Chainsaw Award ("Best First Feature") and Brooklyn Horror Film Festival Award ("Best Gooey Effects") before terrifying audiences on Netflix (becoming the #2 most watched film on the streaming service).
His writing and directing follow-up Jakob's Wife premiered at SXSW 2021 and is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. The feminist vampire comedy stars genre legends Barbara Crampton, Larry Fessenden and Bonnie Aarons and was released in theaters, drive-ins and VOD by RLJE / Shudder, becoming the #1 horror title on iTunes the week of release. It was Entertainment Weekly's #6 pick of the week (May 2021) and the cover story of Fangoria Magazine (April 2021).
Stevens has been a guest panelist at the Brussels International Co-Production Market, the Fantasia Frontiers Market, the IFTA Production Conference, the Stanley Film Fest, SXSW, Shudder Labs and the Hollywood Black Film Festival. He's also served as film juror for a wide variety of genre film festivals including Fantastic Fest, PiFan, Fantasia, the Stanley Film Fest, the Oldenburg International Film Festival and the Strasbourg International Film Festival.
