Josh Gates
With a recent GAP photo shoot completed, two new film roles to his credit, and a 2008 single release with record label, Universal Republic, Josh Gates is definitely the one for America to watch.
With his charming looks and natural ability to handle both the mic and camera, Gates is already turning heads this year and has definitely gotten the fans wanting to hear and see more of him.
Partially-raised in both cities of New Roads and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Gates made his transition back to New Orleans after completing high school and began his journey down the road in the entertainment industry.
It was not until Artist Manager Melvin Foley, took notice of Gates and helped to present his unique artistry mainstream. Foley was already the manger for such Artists as Baby Boy Da Prince. After seeing Gates ability to captivate his audience with his monstrous energy, Foley, provided him the opportunity to open up for Baby Boy.
Of course, one door opened another and before long, it was Josh Gates hit single "Look Back It" that landed him his first major recording deal with Universal Republic. Universal Republic is the home of such artists as Amy Whinehouse, Erin McCarley, and Lil Jon to name a few.
When Gates is not behind the mic, he is honing his craft and is constantly getting prepared for that next big role.
With two new films before him, "What About Love" (Directed by Willys G. Michel), and "The Chameleon" (Directed by Jean-Paul Salome'), Gates is setting his sight to be one of Hollywood's next leading men.
